As it did before, the XMPP Standards Foundation (XSF) will act as an umbrella organisation for this years edition of GSo C.
The Ignite Realtime community is open to accept students under this umbrella.
Those familiar with Smack can join the development easier, as we are now using the latest stable version (4.1.9).
Patches can be attached in the forums or submitted as PRs on Git Hub.
Spark is an Open Source, cross-platform IM client optimized for businesses and organizations.
It features built-in support for group chat, telephony integration, and strong security.
We've prepared a number of teaser tasks as well as project ideas, all of which are available in the XSF wiki. This certainly goes for Spark, which was created over ten years ago.
Hopefully we will find a way to bundle this plugin with Spark or provide other options to use it.
